Al Hilal conceded a goal in the second half to draw 1-1 with host Damac in the Saudi Roshan Football League on Thursday.
Coach Jorge Jesus’ team failed to win for the second time in a row after a 1-1 draw with Uzbekistan’s Navbahor in the AFC Champions League in midweek.
Al-Hilal leads the competition with 17 points, placing it one point ahead of Al-Taawoun and Al-Ittifaq and two points ahead of Al-Ittihad, which will host Al-Fateh later.
Malcolm scored for Al Hilal with a shot from close range after a low pass from captain Salem Al Dosari nine minutes after the start.
Nicolae Stanciu equalized for Damak from a free kick in the 68th minute, giving the hosts their fourth point and finishing in 15th place.
At the same time, Al-Taawoun scored two early goals to beat Al-Raed 2-1. Joao Pedro scored against Al-Raed after nine minutes, and Walid Al-Ahmad made the score 2-0 in the 16th minute.
Omar Gonzalez reduced the score for Al-Raed six minutes before the end of the first half. Al-Raed’s score stagnated at four points in 16th place.
Al-Ettifaq avoided a surprise after receiving a hat-trick of goals from Bernard Mensah to win 4-3 over its visitors, Al-Tai.
Georginio Wijnaldum scored two minutes later for Al-Ettifaq, before Mensah scored two goals within 26 minutes to make the score 2-1 midway through the first half for Al-Tai. But Moussa Dembele equalized for Al-Ettifaq in the 41st minute.
Ghanaian Mensah restored the lead for the visiting team nine minutes after the break, but Wijnaldum equalized in the 72nd minute.
Frenchman Dembélé scored the winning goal for coach Stephane Gerrard’s team in stoppage time.
Al-Taei’s score froze at seven points in ninth place.
