The salsa singer Daniela Darcourt revealed in a recent interview with ‘America today ‘ the real reason why he broke off his working relationship with renowned producer Master Chris. According to the singer, her departure from Master Chris’ musical production was due to a “conflict of interest”, derived from economic conditions that she considered unfair. This revelation comes in the middle of a recent episode in which the producer tried to remove his song ‘Mr Lie’ from his YouTube account, reviving the issue of his estrangement.
What is the reason why Daniela Darcourt stopped working with Master Chris?
Daniela Darcourt, who began her career in music at a young age, explained that the agreement she had signed in her youth did not benefit her fairly. “They give you a large cake of 80 pieces and of those 80 pieces they give you 2. Who works with 2 pieces of a cake of 80?” he expressed forcefully, underlining the unequal distribution of income. Despite the difficulties, the singer also commented that at that time she trusted Master Chris, but his lack of experience led him to accept unfavorable conditions.
The salsa boat did not hesitate to recognize that, upon signing the contract with Master Chris his lack of experience worked against him. “I was young, 22 years old, and I was just starting out in the world of professional music,” she explained. Daniela admitted that, because of her age, she was not fully aware of the terms of the contract, which later resulted in a conflict. Although many people have criticized her past decisions, Daniela made it clear that her trust in the producer was genuine.
Daniela Darcourt also revealed that, for more than five years, she has not maintained contact with Master Chris. “We haven’t spoken in 5 years, basically for that reason,” he commented, clarifying that he does not have his phone number or any type of communication with him. This lack of contact contributed to his inability to directly resolve the recent issue regarding his song’s removal. “It’s like if you don’t see an ex in 10 years, how do you talk to them?” he said, making it clear that he has no interest in reopening the professional relationship.
