Dara Singh lost by 42 thousand votes
Earlier, the result of Ghosi by-election was declared on 8th September. Samajwadi Party candidate Sudhakar Singh had won the by-election. Whereas BJP candidate Dara Singh Chauhan had to face defeat. Sudhakar Singh had won this by-election by a margin of about 42 thousand votes.
Actually, Dara Singh Chauhan was earlier SP MLA from Ghosi assembly seat. But after SubhaSP’s alliance with BJP, Dara Singh resigned from Samajwadi Party and legislature. After which he joined BJP. He had joined BJP in the presence of Deputy CM Brajesh Pathak and State President Bhupendra Chaudhary.
Victory was registered in 2022
SP candidate Sudhakar Singh has defeated BJP’s Dara Singh by 42672 votes. Dara Singh, contesting from SP in the 2022 assembly elections, had won by 22000 votes. However, after Ghosi’s defeat, a period of churning continues in BJP. The party has started investigating the reason for the defeat.
Let us tell you that before joining SP, when Dara Singh Chauhan was in BJP, he was also the national president of BJP’s OBC front. However, just before the assembly elections, he resigned from BJP and joined SP. Dara Singh Chauhan was also a minister from 2017 to 2022 during the first term of the Yogi government.
