San Francisco. Tech giant Microsoft has started rolling out a newly redesigned version of the classic Notepad in the dev channel for Windows Insiders. Windows 11’s design language includes things like Micah Transparency’s influence, new iconography, and most importantly, the new app Dark Mode, XDA Developers supports.
The new Notepad app is now rolling out in the Dev Channel on the latest Windows 11 preview build 22,509.
Microsoft also added a multi step, which replaces the older version. Windows 11 will allow users of Chrome, Firefox and other browsers to set a default browser with a single button.
Reports emerged in August that Microsoft’s upcoming release of Windows 11 would make it harder to switch the default browsers.
Microsoft said in a statement, “In Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 22,509 released on the Dev Channel, we streamlined the ability for Windows Insider to set the ‘default browser’ for apps that register to http, http, dotHTML and dotHTML.dot ” (IANS)
