On the complaint of Snehal’s father, AEFI (Committee on Post-Vaccine Adverse Effects) under the Central Government conducted an investigation into the incident. The report was given on October 2 last year. Dilip Lunawat filed a petition in the Bombay High Court alleging that the vaccine was the cause of his daughter’s death. Attached is the AEFI report. A bench consisting of Justice SV Gangapurwala and Justice Madhav Zandar heard this petition.
On August 26, notices were issued to the vaccine manufacturer, the Central Government, the Maharashtra Government and the Drugs Controller General of India. The next hearing was adjourned to November 17. There is a lot of excitement over the verdict of this case.
