This evening, Wednesday, the art scene lost the artist Boudjemaa Oujoud, known to Moroccans as “Ba Azizi,” at the age of 82. He passed away in one of the private clinics in Casablanca, after suffering bitterly with illness.
The late artist was transferred last week to a sanatorium in Al-Bayda in a critical condition, as he was suffering from heart swelling and severe anemia, which required continuous supply of a significant amount of blood.
Baazizi became famous among Moroccans for preparing tea on several occasions. He also participated in a group of theatrical productions that increased his fame, including those that brought him together with Bashir Alaj and Bouchaib El Baidaoui.
