There was a live telecast of the four-hour-long dressing ceremony. Iruharam office supervises the weaving and embroidery work of Kiswa using modern machines. Both local and foreign workers supervised the work. 220 people participated in its construction.

The expert team of King Abdul Aziz Kiswa Complex replaced the old Kiswa and dressed the new Kiswa Kaaba. The Kaaba is known as the ‘most expensive cloth’. Prophet Muhammad and all the prophets who came after him had done this ceremony and this kind of Kiswa quilting ceremony is held every year. Kiswa is made by decorating it with Quranic verses and Islamic works of art.

The height of Kiswa is 14 meters. It is made of gold and silver threads. At the top there is a belt 95 cm wide and 47 m long. Kiswak has four main parts. It spreads to the four sides of the Kaaba. Then a fifth piece is made for the door of the Kaaba. 120 kg of gold, 100 kg of silver and 850 kg of silk were used to make the Kiswa covering the Kaaba. The government pays great attention to this ceremony. Hajj is a major event in the Muslim community. Therefore, the administration pays great attention to the maintenance of the Kaaba.
