A fire broke out at Sanskriti Coaching Center in Delhi’s Mukherjee Nagar area at 12 noon on Thursday. This created panic among the students present there. To save their lives, students were seen descending from the third floor of the building with the help of a wire. Some saved their lives by jumping from windows. The accident took place at Gyana Building near Batra Cinema. Videos of this accident are going viral on social media.

Students allege that some people are lying dead inside but the police is not allowing anyone inside. Police is hiding figures. At the same time, a large number of police are deployed outside the coaching center.

However, according to Delhi Police PRO Suman Nalwa, only 3-4 students were injured. Those who were immediately sent to the hospital. The fire brigade also got the fire under control in some time.

After the accident, the students studying in coaching sat on a dharna. They demand that they should be told the real condition inside whether they have any companion inside. Some children got down with the help of windows. Some of them even jumped from one floor above.

In Mukherjee Nagar locality, students prepare for civil services along with competitive exams. More than 200 students were present in the center where the fire broke out, and there was no fire exit, due to which the students were forced to save their lives by jumping from the window.

According to the police, the fire started in the meter of the building. The smoke spread to the upper floors, causing panic. There was a coaching center for civil services, some students were trying to come down from the window. The students who jumped out of the building said that the police did not tell how many people were inside.
