On 25th and 26th September, the pilots of Delhi-Pune flight (AI853) arrived late for two consecutive days. Passengers expressed their displeasure towards the airline company on social media.
Due to late arrival of the pilot, Air India’s Delhi-Pune flight was delayed for two consecutive days. On September 25, flight number AI853 stood on the runway for two hours waiting for the pilot. There were more than 100 passengers on this flight.
The same flight was delayed by 4 hours the next day on 26 September due to the pilot. Passengers continued to wait at the airport terminal building. When people started creating ruckus, the airline company staff cited operational problems as the reason behind the delay.
Sources said that the pilot had left the flight due to completion of duty time. Passengers expressed their displeasure with Air India management due to flight delay. On Monday, passengers going from Delhi to Pune said that many children and elderly people were sitting in the flight waiting for the flight to take off. Everyone was suffocating.

7:10 flight left Delhi at 11:15
Passengers told that on September 25, the Delhi-Pune flight was scheduled to take off at 7.10 pm. Its arrival time at Pune was 9.10. However, on Monday this flight left Delhi at 9 pm and reached Pune at 11 pm.
On September 26, the pilot of the plane reached for duty at 10:30 pm. Then at 11:15 the plane left for Pune. During this time, people kept trying to contact the airline company through e-mail and WhatsApp.
Passenger said- Looks like someone has kidnapped
Many passengers of Delhi-Pune flight expressed their displeasure against Air India on social media platform X. Neeraj Shukla wrote on September 25 – We have been sitting in the flight for an hour because your pilot has not arrived on time. No staff knows the reason for this. It seems as if she has been kidnapped in a suffocating environment.

Sai Prasad Saale told that the Delhi-Pune flight left for Pune at 11:15 pm with only one pilot.
