Today one year has been completed since Balasaheb Thackeray’s Shiv Sena was disbanded. Eknath Shinde rebelled against Uddhav Thackeray on June 20 itself. After this Uddhav Thackeray had to leave the post of Chief Minister of Maharashtra. The Shinde faction later joined hands with the BJP and Eknath became the CM in the state.
The leaders of the Uddhav faction are now demanding that June 20 be declared World Traitor Day. Sanjay Raut said, we will conduct a signature campaign in Maharashtra and send a letter signed by lakhs of people to the United Nations (UN). Uddhav said – Today is traitor’s day; Balasaheb’s photo was stolen
On the foundation day of Shiv Sena on Monday, Uddhav Thackeray said about Eknath Shinde, June 20 is traitor day. You can steal Balasaheb Thackeray’s photo but not from people’s heart. You have taken away the crops but we have the fields.
Earlier on June 18, at the Maharashtra-level meeting of the Shiv Sena (UBT), Aditya Thackeray had also talked about Gaddar Diwas. Aditya had said, June 18 is Father’s Day. But there are some people here who steal the father of others. They are traitors.
Before the Uddhav faction, the NCP had also placed a similar demand. Maharashtra NCP President Jayant Patil had said – he will celebrate Anti-National Day on 20th June. NCP workers should protest in every nook and corner of the state by showing bundles of token money. On the basis of which the Eknath Shinde government came to power.
On the other hand, on Tuesday, the Mumbai Police issued a notice to the Uddhav Thackeray group and NCP workers, warning them not to disturb the law and order.
Shinde’s answer- Lion’s liver is needed for what happened last year

Eknath Shinde hit back at Uddhav for calling himself a traitor. In a program on Shiv Sena’s foundation day on Monday, Shinde said, “For what happened on June 20 last year, a lion’s liver is needed.”
Shinde further said, you call us traitors, but you betrayed the thoughts of Balasaheb for the chair. If we had committed betrayal, 40 MLAs would not have come with us.

In June last year, Shinde and 39 other party MLAs revolted against the then Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray. Shiv Sena was divided into two parts. After this, the Maha Vikas Aghadi coalition government of Shiv Sena, NCP and Congress fell.
Shinde then formed the government with the BJP. The Election Commission gave the name and symbol of the party to the ‘Tir-Dhanush’ Shinde faction. The Thackeray faction was named Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray). Later this dispute went to the Supreme Court. The Supreme Court ruled that the Shinde government would continue.
This was Shiv Sena’s first foundation day after the party split last year, which was celebrated at two places. One program was organized by Uddhav and the other by Eknath Shinde.
