In Morocco, there are more than hundreds of thousands of men and women who work as guards for thousands of private security companies, but they work in conditions that lack the most basic rights guaranteed by the Labor Code to workers, especially in terms of wages.
The voices of professional syndicates were raised, with the need to find solutions for this group, which suffers in silence and does not reach the minimum wage agreed upon by law.
According to what Gazette 24 reported, the union authorities demanded that the tragic situation of private security guards be included in the upcoming social dialogue between the government and the unions.
The National Union of Private Guard Agents called for providing legal monitoring and strict inspection so that these companies respect the legal requirements contained in the Labor Code.
During the upcoming social dialogue, the aforementioned union wishes to emphasize the role that the government must play, in order to protect the working class in all sectors, and to guarantee Moroccans stable and dignified work, especially in light of the current situation that citizens are experiencing in the face of inflation and high prices.
