Tirupati. Amid concerns of devotees over the quality of ghee used in the famous ‘laddu prasadam’ of Tirupati temple, Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) has said that the sanctity of the holy sweet has been restored. Now there is no problem in it. Andhra Pradesh Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan has expressed grief over this incident.
TTD, which manages the Sri Venkateswara Swamy temple located on the hills of Tirumala, said in a post released on the internet media on Friday night that the divinity and sanctity of Srivari laddu (Tirupati laddu) is now untainted. On the other hand, Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan announced on Saturday that he will observe a fast for 11 days to atone for this sin. For this, he will take an 11-day ‘Prayashchit Deeksha’ from September 22 at Sri Dashavatara Venkateswara Swamy Temple in Nambur, Guntur district.
Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan wrote on social media that I am deeply saddened on a personal level by the attempts made to spread impurity in the Prasad of Shri Tirupati Balaji Dham, the center of our culture, faith, belief and devotion, through malicious efforts, and to be honest, I feel very cheated from within. I pray to Lord Venkateswara to give strength to us and all Sanatanis with his causeless grace in this moment of grief.
Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan further wrote that right now, I am asking for forgiveness from God, I am taking a vow for Atonement Initiation and am taking a pledge for an eleven-day fast. In the latter part of the eleven-day Atonement Initiation, on October 1 and 2, I will go to Tirupati and have a personal darshan of the Lord and ask for forgiveness and then my Atonement Initiation will be completed in front of God. Earlier, Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan, while reacting on this issue, had stressed on the need to form a ‘Sanatan Dharma Rakshan Board’.
