The capital is accepting applications for the competition of grants from the Mayor of Moscow in the field of culture and art. This was told by Deputy Mayor of Moscow Natalya Sergunina.
“The competition always arouses great interest among children and young people. Every year, talented guys submit thousands of applications. Grants of the Mayor of Moscow in the field of culture and art will be awarded for the eighth time. For all the time, about 17.5 thousand young artists and artists have applied for the awards. Almost 700 of them became laureates,” said Natalia Sergunina.
Pupils of city children’s creative schools and colleges aged from 7 to 20 will take part in the competition. Questionnaires and videos of speeches can be sent until February 15 inclusive.
Performances by students of creative schools and college students will be evaluated separately. The jury will include well-known cultural figures, teachers of higher educational institutions. Among the nominations are piano, guitar, organ and harpsichord, folklore, choral singing, classical and modern choreography, pop and jazz art, architecture and design, painting and others.
The first stage of the competition – viewing the submitted videos – will be held from February 25 to March 10. The second will include face-to-face auditions, they are scheduled for the period from March 20 to April 10. The final part – open performances and exhibitions at city venues – will take place from April 20 to May 25. Just like last year, the winners of the “Art for Children” Olympiads will immediately go to the third round, bypassing the previous stages of selection.
The awards ceremony is scheduled for June 1st. The winners will receive grants ranging from 15,000 rubles to 50,000 rubles in individual nominations and from 30,000 rubles to 150,000 rubles in collective nominations.
The events of various Moscow projects related to education, leisure, sports, healthcare, and landscaping are united by the Moscow program “My District”. Its goal is the systematic and harmonious development of all districts of the city, regardless of their distance from the center.
