New Delhi: Deputy Governor VK Saxena has said that due to the attention paid by the Delhi government to the education sector, the activities of the students are good.
The five-day budget session began today (March 17) in Delhi. Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena addressed the meeting on its first day. In his speech, the Governor pointed out the education, health, social security and welfare schemes of the AAP government.
Kudos to Govt: In his speech, the Lt. Governor said, “The Aam Aadmi Party government is focusing on the progress of the education sector and is ensuring that the students’ performance is good.
16,000 beds will be added in new hospitals; Existing hospitals will be upgraded.
For the last eight years, this government has been doing well with transparency, accountability and sensible policies. Despite many hurdles, my government has taken pioneering initiatives in various sectors to lay a strong foundation for Delhi’s development. For the welfare of the people, my government is taking various excellent initiatives in every sector,” he said.
Expulsion of BJP MLAs: Earlier, BJP and Aam Aadmi Party MLAs raised slogans against each other during the governor’s address at the start of the Delhi budget session. Members of the opposition BJP raised slogans demanding the resignation of Arvind Kejriwal of the Aam Aadmi Party government for alleged corruption in the formulation and implementation of the currently suspended excise duty policy.
Following this, Delhi Legislative Assembly Speaker Ram Niwas Goyal ordered the expulsion of BJP legislators, Jitendra Mahajan, Anil Bajpayee and OP Sharma from the House.
No cracks in relationships: Delhi Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena today said, “The conflicts between my office and the Delhi Aam Aadmi government have crossed its boundaries for some time. But there has never been a rift in the relationship between the two. The wind may shed my leaves every day, but my relationship with the wind will never end as a tree says to the wind. I would like to mention here.”
Speaking in response to this, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said, “I know these are small issues. But democracy should be respected. A government elected by two crore people should be allowed to work. It is not right to obstruct the work.”
