A tense situation took place on Tuesday at the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) office in Gollapudi One Center, a suburb of NTR’s district Vijayawada. On Wednesday, the authorities with the help of the police stopped the service programs undertaken on the occasion of the death of the late Chief Minister NT Rama Rao (NTR). This led to an argument between the police and the TDP workers leading to tension.On the occasion of NTR’s death, the TDP cadres have decided to organize blood donation and other service programs across the state. As a part of this, the police stopped the arrangements of service programs being conducted under the supervision of former minister Devineni Umamaheswara Rao at Gollapudi One Center.
MMARO advised not to take up any activities here as the location of Telugu Desam Party office is currently under dispute. However, as the TDP ranks did not back down, the police stepped in. Devineni Uma and party ranks protested as MMARO blocked these programs with police forces. The situation turned tense when the TDP ranks got into an argument with the police.
