The Tirumala Devasthanam (TTD) has issued a critical alert for devotees who come to have a darshan of Sri Venkateswara Swamy. A large number of devotees continue to flock to Tirumala. Devotees flock to Tirumala from all over the country due to the consecutive holidays and weekend rush. As a result, devotees who do not have tokens on Saturday take almost 30 hours to reach Srivari Sarvadarshan. All the compartments of the Vaikuntham queue complex are filled with Srivari devotees and the queues continue till the Outer Ring Road and Shila Toranam. TTD has made extensive arrangements to provide food, milk and drinking water to Matrusree Tarigonda Vengamamba Anna Prasada Building, Anna Prasada counters in Tirumala, Narayangiri Park and places where devotees are crowded. Tirumala Srivari Sevakulu, Health and Vigilance Departments are serving in all important places with special focus. On Saturday afternoon, more than 79,000 devotees were served Annaprasadam in Vengamamba Annaprasadam complex. It was distributed to 80 thousand people in the queue lines of Vaikuntham queue complex. Annaprasadam was given twice as much as usual. Also, the TTD officials revealed that milk is being provided to the children in queues from time to time. On the other hand, around 50 thousand devotees visited Tirumala Srivari till 5 pm on Saturday. Due to heavy traffic Rs. TTD appealed to the devotees that only those devotees who have 300 special entrance darshan tokens, SSD tokens and Divya darshan tokens should come to Tirumala. On the other hand, under the leadership of JEO Veerabraham, senior officers of various departments are constantly monitoring the facilities and queues of devotees. Also, due to the unexpected rush of devotees, the demand for rooms on the Tirumala hill has increased enormously. Devotees wait for hours for rooms. All the compartments in the Vaikuntham queue complex and the sheds in the Narayangiri park were filled with Sarvadarshanam devotees, while the queue stretched for almost two and a half kilometers past the Narayangiri cottages and Shilatoranam to the Gogarbham dam. Due to the limited number of rooms, devotees have to wait in queues for hours. Also, the Kalyan bundles offered by Talanilas are crowded with devotees. In this order, vigilance and police are making heavy arrangements to prevent any stampede in the queue lines.
