Disabled people in the Moscow region were told about available support measures. According to the chairman of the Moscow Regional Duma, Igor Bryntsalov, in 2022 another 430 million rubles will be invested in the region to create a comfortable environment for the disabled.
Bryntsalov pointed out that there are benefits and payments for people with disabilities in the region. In addition, disabled people receive technical means of rehabilitation, the 360 TV channel notes.
So, free vouchers to sanatoriums, compensation for housing and communal services, monthly payments, pensions, and OSAGO compensation are available to disabled people.
In addition, the list of support measures includes the provision of technical means of rehabilitation, living quarters, annual compensation for the costs of guide dogs, priority provision of land.
Also, people with disabilities are provided with special telephone sets and household appliances.
May 5 is International Day for the Rights of Persons with Disabilities.
At the end of April, the Minister of Culture of the Russian Federation Olga Lyubimova, during a meeting of the working group on creating conditions for the participation of people with disabilities in the cultural life of society, said that in 2021 the attendance of Russian cultural institutions by people with disabilities increased by 60%, in particular, cinemas – by more than 40%, libraries – 25%, museums – 10%, according to the Moscow City News Agency.
On April 6, the Cabinet of Ministers approved new rules for establishing and confirming disability in Russia. So, from July 1, 2022, citizens will be given the opportunity to independently choose the format for passing a medical and social examination. There are two options: face-to-face, in person, or by correspondence, when all the necessary documents are submitted to the Bureau of Medical and Social Expertise using the system of electronic interdepartmental interaction.
On April 4, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin announced that now the disability pension will be assigned automatically, for this you will not need to submit applications, payments will begin immediately after the paperwork is completed.
