New Delhi: 11 sub-strains of Omicron have been detected in 124 people tested for 11 days from December 24 to January 3 among international travelers.
From December 24 to January 3, 19,227 travelers who came to India from other countries were tested for Corona. The test was carried out at airports and seaports. 124 of them have been confirmed to be infected with corona virus.
Authorities said the passengers were infected with 11 substrains of Omicron.
The central government has taken precautionary measures following the recent resurgence of cases of Corona virus in some countries including China.
It has been decided that approximately 2 percent of the travelers coming to India from abroad will be tested for Corona. Subsequently, the Corona negative certificate has been made mandatory for travelers coming to India in 6 countries namely China, Hong Kong, Japan, South Korea, Singapore and Thailand.
Corona treatment drills were held in hospitals and health centers across the country. An important consultation was held on the 22nd under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi regarding the Corona situation in the country.
The spread of coronavirus in India is relatively low. Daily new infections have been below 200 for several days.
Corona for 188 people
In this case, 188 people have been infected with corona virus in the country in the 24 hours till 8 am yesterday. With 3 deaths, the number of people under treatment has dropped to 2,554. Daily positive rate is 0.10 percent and weekly positive rate is 0.12 percent.
