The Dubai Marine Day, organized by the Dubai International Marine Club at the beginning of this year, as part of the 2022-2023 sports season calendar, witnessed the active participation of a team from the Dubai Ladies Club for the first time. The participation comes within the framework of activating the Memorandum of Understanding between “Dubai Bahri” and the Dubai Women’s Establishment, which was concluded last year with the aim of cooperating in organizing activities that support institutional development on both sides and cooperating in organizing marine sports events for women throughout the year.
The players of the Dubai Women’s Club team participated in the community races that were held within the activities on the waters of the “Dubai Islands”, where they experimented with paddle boards (standing) and rowing boats (kayak). Dubai Bahri, as part of the closing ceremony of Dubai Maritime Day, was keen to honor the participants in the presence of Ali Saeed bin Thalith, member of the club’s board of directors, Muhammad Abdullah Hareb, Executive Director, and Muhammad Saif Al Marri, Director of the Sports Affairs Department. Hamda Sahem, Director of the Fitness Center at the Dubai Club, also received For the women, a commemorative shield from the organizing committee in appreciation of the active participation.
