New Delhi. There is anger among doctors in the country over the heinous crime committed against a female doctor at Kolkata’s RG Kar Medical College and Hospital. Doctors have demanded strict punishment against the accused. Doctors across the country are on strike on Tuesday as well. During this time, doctors have also suspended their services.
On the other hand, the Ration of Resident Doctors Association (FORDA) announced on Monday that its indefinite strike will continue in protest against the rape and murder of a trainee doctor in Kolkata. However, emergency services have been maintained in hospitals. There is great anger among doctors across the country over the rape-murder case of a female doctor in Kolkata.
Doctors are protesting across the country demanding justice in this case. In view of the doctors’ strike, alternative preparations were made in hospitals so that patients do not face any problem in treatment, but all these preparations are proving to be insufficient and patients coming for treatment are facing problems.
Resident doctors are on strike in all major hospitals including AIIMS, Safdarjung, RML, Loknayak, GB Pant in Delhi for the second consecutive day. Due to this, OPD and regular surgeries are affected. Doctors and medical students in Mumbai’s Nair Hospital also protested against this incident. Doctors informed that OPD services will remain closed today.
