Special arrangements have been made by the administration to ensure that the devotees coming here do not face any kind of trouble.
There are many mythological beliefs about Nagchandreshwar temple. According to this, the king of snakes Takshak did a rigorous penance of Lord Shiva. Pleased with this, the Lord blessed Takshak Naag to be immortal. Since this blessing, Nagraj Takshak lives in the shelter of Baba Mahakaleshwar. Along with immortality, Nagraj’s wish was that there should be no disturbance in his solitude. Therefore, this temple remains closed throughout the year, but Nagchandreshwar Mahadev is worshipped on the day of Nag Panchami.
