Al Hilal Saudi coach Jorge Jesus said that he has not yet decided on Neymar’s participation against Uzbekistan’s Navbahor in the AFC Champions League on Monday, after the Brazilian striker felt some pain.
The runner-up of the defending champion will host rival Navbahor at the beginning of its tournament campaign.
Neymar scored a goal in his first appearance with Al Hilal when he participated as a substitute in the 6-1 win over Riyadh in the league on Friday. But Brazil’s all-time top scorer felt muscle pain, raising doubts about his participation in the match.
Jesus told a press conference on Sunday: Everyone knows that Neymar has the highest efficiency among all the players in the world and is capable of providing more. But he is currently feeling some muscle pain and his position on participating will be determined after Sunday’s training.
Jesus said: I will identify the foreign quintet participating in the meeting. We deal with each match according to the opponent.
He continued: I promise the fans to show up with a wonderful performance like the last matches in the Saudi League. I know that Al Hilal has been reaching the final in recent years and winning the championship
