A war of words broke out between the controversial actress, Ahlam Al-Zaimi, and the retired artist, Hashem Al-Bastawi, because of his criticism of the way she dressed and the posts she deliberately shared with her followers on social media, threatening to sue him for his transgressions.
Ahlam Al-Zaimi responded to the criticisms she received from Al-Bastawi, noting that the latter’s family continues their artistic activities normally, wondering at the same time about the reason behind targeting her in his publications.
The controversial actress explained that the Islamic religion does not urge insulting and defamation, as Al-Bastawi did, but rather the good word, and she continued, saying: “You are my brothers, what is this? Enter Instagram, Diyala, and see me naked.”
The same speaker stressed that the way she dresses does not mean Bastawy, and that her life is a personal freedom that belongs to her and her grandfather, and he has nothing to do with it.
