Minor malfunctions in the car, road signs and markings can cause car owners to receive a serious fine. On May 7, the Autonews website recalled about unobvious fines.
Driving a car without one of the mirrors is unacceptable. If the driver is stopped by a traffic police inspector, a fine of 500 rubles will be issued for this, and it will be impossible to continue driving until the problem is eliminated (Article 12.5 of the Administrative Code). Such a problem may be encountered by users of car sharing who inattentively checked the car before leaving.
A fine is also provided for those who parked a car entering the marked parking lines. According to Part 1 of Art. 12.16 of the Administrative Code “Failure to comply with the requirements prescribed by road signs or markings of the carriageway”, violators should cost 500 rubles.
The number of signs “Parking for residents only” has also increased significantly in Moscow. These are areas where only local residents can park their cars. At the moment, there are about 300 such places in Moscow, and by the end of 2021 the authorities plan to increase their number to 1000. If motorists arriving from other regions park in such a parking lot and even pay for the service, a fine of 2.5 thousand rubles will still come.
Parking on rounded triangles at the edges of exits and arrivals to courtyards and other adjacent territories is also considered a violation of the rules. It is also forbidden to stop at the safety islands.
“Stopping on such“ islands ”is permissible only in case of emergency: if a stop elsewhere would create a great threat. <…> Responsibility for non-compliance with the requirements of this marking is established in Part 1 of Art. 12.16 of the Administrative Code is a warning or a fine of 500 rubles, ”writes Autonews.
In addition, it is forbidden to drive with a large crack on the windshield, as well as installed roof racks, spoilers, towbars and other equipment that was not originally provided for by the design, without obtaining permission. A fine is also provided for parking a car without a registration plate.
Earlier, on May 1, it was reported that amendments to the Code of Administrative Offenses (Code of Administrative Offenses) entered into force in Russia, according to which the fine for violating the rules of movement through railway tracks is increased five times.
