Dubai International Marine Sports Club announced that it will begin preparations for the start of the new season 2024-2025 early, by completing new technical plans, including starting to implement new specifications in the Dubai 30-foot local rowing boats championship.
The club’s Sports Affairs Department invited owners, captains and manufacturers of 30-foot local rowing boats to attend the preparatory meeting on implementing the new technical specifications for the new season, which will be held today at the club’s headquarters in Dubai Harbour Front (formerly the tourist port).
The Director of the Sports Affairs Department at the club, Mohammed Saif Al Marri, said that the meeting is of great importance to explain the new technical amendments and specifications that will be applied to the boats participating in the competitions, and that it comes well before the start of the new marine sports season 2024-2025, which gives everyone the opportunity to do what is necessary and prepare the boats, according to the controls that the club will adopt.
Al Marri revealed that the new season’s programme for the Dubai Local Rowing Boat Championship includes three stations, all of which will be held next November: the first and second rounds of the championship, and the most expensive event, the 28th edition of the Al Maktoum Cup for Local Rowing Boats, 30 feet.
