The Dubai Sports Council launched an initiative to qualify and develop the capabilities of coaches working in sports academies operating in the country in various sports, in cooperation with international and local private academies, by launching specialized training courses under the supervision of sports experts from various international clubs.
A press statement stated that the Dubai Sports Council held several meetings with officials of the various international academies operating in Dubai, to discuss the work plan for implementing the initiative and organizing intensive training courses, which will continue throughout the sports season, and a meeting was held with representatives of the international football academies in Dubai, namely: (Barcelona). And Real Madrid, La Liga, Ajax, Juventus, Paris Saint-Germain, and CBF Football Management Foundation), in the presence of the Director of the Sports Development Department at the Dubai Sports Council, Ahmed Al-Mahri, and the Senior Football Companies Specialist, Adnan Al-Ayouni.
The statement said: “This initiative comes within the executive plan for the policy of attracting and developing sports talents in the aspect related to developing national cadres, developing the capabilities of coaches, and being informed of the latest developments in the world of training, in a way that enhances their technical and scientific gains, and contributes to refining sports talents. It also strengthens the partnership between… The public and private sectors in the field of sports.
An annual program will be organized to hold training courses for football academies coaches in coordination with the Dubai Sports Council, with the aim of enhancing and improving coaches’ basic skills, tactical and technical knowledge and physical measurements, including elements of communication and motivation, playing strategies and player development methods, and staying up to date with technological developments to identify players. Gifted students, preparing training programs to enhance performance in different age groups, and developing training methods according to training levels.
The training courses will include a mixture of lectures, theoretical and practical exercises, case studies and interactive sessions, after identifying the needs of the coaches. The topics of the training courses will also be diversified to include all technical fields and sports management in various sports, and the topics of the training courses will be determined according to the level of the coaches.
Date of the first session
The first session begins on the 31st of this month and continues until the second of next June. It will be held at Al-Nasr Club, and organized by the Italian club Juventus, through the club’s academy in Dubai, for the first time outside the continent of Europe, where experts from the Juventus club will lecture in the course.
