The second edition of the Benos Classic Bodybuilding Championship, which includes sports competitions and an exhibition, will be held at the Dubai World Trade Centre on September 7 and 8, with the participation of 700 male and female players, competing for cash prizes amounting to 1.2 million dirhams, to be the highest prize value for a championship in its category in the world.
This was announced during a press conference held today, Wednesday, at the headquarters of the Dubai Sports Council, in the presence of Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad bin Saif Al Sharqi, Chairman of the Emirates Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation, Saeed Hareb, Secretary General of the Dubai Sports Council, and Maher Abdul Karim Julfar, Deputy CEO of the Dubai World Trade Centre.
Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad bin Saif Al Sharqi expressed his thanks and appreciation to the wise leadership for the great and continuous support for Emirati sports and bodybuilding and fitness in particular, praising the efforts of the Dubai Sports Council, headed by His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, and the joint cooperation that contributed to the development of sports infrastructure and was reflected in bodybuilding.
He said, “The Benos Classic Championship is one of the most important championships supervised by the Federation, especially since the Benos Club for Bodybuilding is a strategic partner of the Federation.
