The second edition of the “Binos Classic” bodybuilding championship, which includes sports competitions and an exhibition, will be held at the Dubai World Trade Centre on the 7th and 8th of September, with the participation of 700 male and female players, competing for cash prizes amounting to 1.2 million dirhams, to be the highest prize value for a championship in its category in the world.
This was announced during a press conference held yesterday at the Dubai Sports Council headquarters in the presence of Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad bin Saif Al Sharqi, Chairman of the UAE Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation, Saeed Hareb, Secretary General of the Dubai Sports Council, and Maher Abdul Karim Julfar, Deputy CEO of the Dubai World Trade Centre. The conference featured speeches by Ali Omar, Director of Sports Events Department at the Dubai Sports Council, Mohammed Al Marri, Secretary General of the UAE Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation, Mohammed Al Marzouqi, Executive Director of Events and Festivals at the Dubai World Trade Centre, and Anis Binous, Chairman of the Championship Organising Committee.
Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad bin Saif Al Sharqi expressed his thanks and appreciation to the wise leadership for the great and continuous support for Emirati sports, and bodybuilding and fitness in particular, praising the efforts of the Dubai Sports Council, headed by His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, and the joint cooperation that contributed to the development of sports infrastructure, which was reflected in bodybuilding.
Ali Omar said: “The Benos Classic Championship witnesses a large participation of the best bodybuilding athletes from different countries of the world. This type of championship has contributed to encouraging our youth to participate in the largest international championships, and we now have Emirati champions competing for international titles.”

For his part, the Secretary-General of the Federation, Mohammed Al Marri, confirmed that a group of international Emirati referees will lead the competitions, and that the championship will include six different categories: bodybuilding, physique, physical strength, arm wrestling, in addition to boxing and kickboxing.
In turn, the head of the organizing committee, Anis Binous, said that the committee sought to raise the value of the prizes to encourage talented players.
