Egyptian Zamalek midfielder, Nabil Emad, known as “Dunga,” revealed the details of the altercation that occurred between him and Al-Ahly player Emam Ashour during the African Super Cup match, which took place last Friday in the Saudi capital, Riyadh.
Dunga said during an interview with MBC Misr that he was not the initiator of the crisis with the Al-Ahly player, and that the latter “insulted his family.”
The Zamalek player swore that he did not subject Imam Ashour to any harm or verbally abused him, deploring what the Al-Ahly player said.
“Dunga” said: “Imam Ashour from the beginning of the match was looking for the shot that he would try to publish on social networking sites after the match, as he did before in the Egypt Cup final match, which was held in Saudi Arabia, when he published a picture of himself accompanied by a “story” that he wrote. In it: “For the sake of the shot and the trend.”
He added: “Imam Ashour and others who are looking for a shot and fame on social media should know that we are football players who do our work on the field, and if there is someone who loves acting, his place is in the television studios and not on the field.”
Nabil Imad “Donga” confirmed that he refused to reconcile with Imam Ashour after the match, and would not reconcile with him in the future, according to what he said, saying: “I will not reconcile with those who insulted my family.”
