Hundreds of floor buses belonging to KSRTC were lying in a corner in the dumping yard due to repairs. The government had earlier decided to give these buses to scrap. But the RTC bus has already been converted into a classroom at the Kerala University Cannes. The old KSRTC bus belonging to Pappanamkode depot was moved to the campus with the help of a crane and converted into a classroom. The classroom bus is housed in the Department of Bioinformatics at the University of Kerala. In the spirit of this, the Kerala government hopes to convert buses into classrooms rather than scraps.
