Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson, the popular actor who stars in blockbuster action films, is proving that he also knows how to win over spirits connoisseurs as its Teramana tequila, announced that it has exceeded sales of one million 9L boxes sold annually.
The figure is a milestone for the three-year-old brand, as it invests in its growth while maintaining its mission of craft, accessibility and local community involvement.
Since its launch in 2020, Teremana has sold over two million 9L cases throughout North America and has broken records as one of the biggest new brand debuts in the world.
“I will start my statement with the most appropriate and grateful thing: thanks to the people. We launched Teremana three years ago and today we celebrate the extraordinary record achievement of selling one million cases a year,” said founder Dwayne Johnson.
“As we reach this unusual milestone for an independent brand, I am also very grateful for the dedication of our partners and our team to get our tequila to the people the right way, making tequila that honors traditional methods. That is the Teremana. We have been overwhelmed by the tremendous response to Teremana,” La Roca added.
In a statement, the brand points out that Teremana have been recognized by 17 of the main awards for spirits, including gold at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition 2022, gold at Tequila & Mezcal Masters 2022 from The Spirits Business and gold at the 2022 New Orleans Spirits Contest.
Teremana’s partners, the López Family, who are third generation agave growers and second generation distillers in the highlands of Jaliscosaid they will continue to supervise the production of the drink under the brand’s unique NOM, 1613.

Teremana Tequila is available in three presentations: white, reposado and añejo, and is available in Mexico, United States and Canada.
