How did they become actors?

Cole and Dylan Sprouse were born in 1992 in Italy, but with both parents of American nationality. A few months after his birth, the family moved to California, where they did their first jobs.

They started with a small role in a diaper commercial when they were still babies. Due to the labor laws of the aforementioned state, the production companies chose to hire twins for the same role and thus be able to have more continuous recording hours.

During their early years they shared roles in some series and minor productions. In 2001, Cole achieved greater exposure thanks to his work on “Friends”, a famous series where he played Ben Geller, son of the protagonist Ross Geller.

In 2005 they were hired by Disney to play the mischievous twins Zack and Cody, in the series of the same name. Shortly after, they became the main figures of the company and became the highest paid teenagers.

Cole Sprouse and a revelation about his mother

The unexpected fame that they quickly achieved, as well as the demands caused by their impending popularity, caused Dylan and Cole Sprouse to feel “acting burnout”, a term that many artists have used to describe the physical and psychological exhaustion caused by constant work and strict demands. recordings.

“I felt like an automaton. I needed to take a break. I needed a dose of reality and to see myself from a more objective perspective, ”he told Entertainment Weekly about his time at Disney.

Cole also recounted, in a Tumblr post that he later deleted, that his mother Melanie Wright introduced them to various castings in order to earn money and thus improve the family’s economic position.

“My brother and I got into acting when we were 8 months old because of my mother, because we needed money.. I never made the decision to join the arts or acting specifically. It was never really my passion. To be honest, if she had never gotten me (into the industry), she probably would never have considered it as a career option for myself, ”he expressed in said audio.

Why did they leave Hollywood and what are they currently doing?

Cole and Dylan Sprouse decided to distance themselves from the media so they could attend college. Both were admitted to New York University, because they wanted to “peacefully disappear.”

“It is not new that when people leave stardom, they tend to be rebellious and opt for very serious lifestyles (…) I wanted to show everyone that I went through something very challenging and difficult, but I did it with grace and I was able to access to a good education,” said the youngest of the twins.

After several years, they both found their way back to Hollywood, this time in a healthier way and on their own terms.

Dylan landed the lead role in the movie Dismissed and is currently dating famous model Barbara Palvin.
