“Dynamo” breaks the 100-point barrier in the “national team’s basket”

The Lebanese Dynamo team crossed the 100-point barrier, towards achieving its broad victory over the national team, by 35 points and with a score (103-68), in a match that brought them together yesterday, in the third round of the Dubai International Championship Groups League, which was held since last Friday in its 32nd edition at the Club Hall. Al-Nasr, and extends until the fifth of next February, with the participation of nine elite teams and clubs from the Asian and African continents.

The national team suffered its second consecutive loss in the group league, after losing in the opening of the first group competitions against the Philippine “Strong Group” by (87-91), while the newcomer, the Lebanese “Dynamo”, continued its strong performances by achieving its second victory, after defeating the day before yesterday. Syrian unity (95-75).

The victory gifted the “Dynamo” team to enter into a partnership with the Philippine “Strong Group” team to lead the first group with four points each, one point behind the Libyan victory in third place, and the team’s loss led to its entry into a partner with the Syrian Al-Wehda in last place with two points each. .

The “Dynamo” players succeeded in achieving their broad victory, by gaining absolute advantage with the results of the first and third quarters, and then the fourth quarter, by (27-10, 19-13, and 29-16), while the players of the national team contented themselves with obtaining the advantage with the result of the second quarter (29-26).

The technical director of the national team, Dr. Mounir bin Al-Habib, said in a press statement after the match, that: “Several benefits have been gained by the national team players against the Lebanese (Dynamo), especially the young players and the new faces that appear for the first time in the (White) list.”

He explained, “Our players succeeded, despite the difference in experience, in reducing the difference to eight points, but the haste of the (Al-Abyad) players in ending the attacks made it easier for the Lebanese team to regain the initiative and widen the difference.”

He added: «We focused during the match on giving the young elements the opportunities they are looking for to gain strong friction experiences, in experiences we are looking for as part of (Al-Abyad) preparations for the important merit next February, by entering the second window of the Asian qualifiers, especially as we are competing in the Dubai Championship in the absence of influential elements at the level Playmaker Center.
