Electronic Arts has announced that EA Sports FC 24 has added more than 11.3 million players in its first week on the market.
The new soccer game from the American company, in fact, seems not to have been affected by the name change (until now it was known as FIFA due to having said license), since the figure exceeds that of FIFA 23 by one million, which at the time he described as “a record” and “the best launch period” in the history of the franchise.
It is important, however, to keep in mind that this year’s figure includes subscribers to the EA Play service, so the 11.3 million do not necessarily translate into 11.3 million copies sold.
According to Electronic Arts, there is also a twenty percent increase in new players, and this data is also transferred to the new free-to-play title EA Sports FC Mobile, with 11.2 million downloads in its first ten days available.
EA Sports FC 24 was published for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC on September 29.
