The story of ‘Eagle’ begins with journalist Nalini Rao (Anupama Parameshwar). Cotton farmer Sahadev Varma (Ravi Teja) writes an article with the information he finds to solve the missing mystery. The governments of different countries will move with that article. She will also lose her job for writing that article. If you write an article about a common cotton farmer, why are people in the country and abroad getting alerted? Who is the real Sahadev? The search begins in that sense. In search of Sahadev, she goes to a farm house on a hill in Talakona forest area of Madanapalli, Andhra Pradesh. There she learns that Sahadev established a cotton production center and provided employment to two tribal villages. When she goes there, she finds nothing but ashes. When Nalini comes to know that there has been an explosion, Sahadev gets to know another aspect. The eagle who shook the world… knows that Sahdev is the only one. Originally Sahadev.. Why did he have to become an eagle? What is the background behind his carnage? That is the rest of the story.
Each director has a different style in telling stories. Karthik Ghattamaneni tried to present ‘Eagle’ in the Hollywood range. Having provided cinematography for Karthikeya, Karthikeya 2, Ninnukori and Dhamaka, Karthik, who made his debut as a director in the industry with a different concept movie called ‘Surya Versus Surya’, has embarked on a new experiment with ‘Eagle’. Rambo..Terminator..Vikram..Rashomon style entertainer tried in mass Raja combo. Usually two or three elevation shots are shown for the hero’s entry.. and then the hero is introduced.. and the story is driven forward. But ‘Eagle’ seems to be a different treatment to introduce different characters and elevate the story of the hero with secondary cast.
Almost the entire first half.. the story runs with these elevations. The story picks up pace after revealing that the cotton farmer Sahadev is the only eagle. How ‘Eagle’ was able to stop the growing gun culture in the countries of the world was shown instructively. Unlike the routine format, director Karthik has delivered a classic stylish mass action entertainer.
First off total.. Who is Sahadev? Who is the Eagle? After creating an interest, the entire second half was full of action. The highlight is the scene where Ayadhala’s den is revealed.. in the scene where the terrorists attack Sahadev’s house.. the scene of bullets coming from the gate of Sahadev’s house.. goose bumps. And the scene where bullets rain down from the hands of Amma’s statue and kills the terrorists along with the army forces, whistles will be blown in the theatres. That scene seems very surprising. The last 40 minutes of the movie Eagle are crucial. At the beginning of the second half.. Navdeep says a dialogue.. ‘The story seems to be lying down.. we have to wake it up.. the audience also feels the same. But the second half really lifted the movie.
Ravi Teja as a farmer Sahadev.. as a contract killer eagle.. showed diversity. The director has shown Mass Raja very stylishly. Mass has shown a new avatar in Raja like never seen before. His walking style, dialogue delivery… feel new. In action sequences he showed a universal form. That gun scene is a feast for Mass Raja fans. Hero Navdeep got a good role after many days. In fact, the story of Eagle.. mostly runs with the secondary cast. The roles of Navadeep, Anupama Parameswaran, Srinivas Vasarala and Madhubala are crucial. Navdeep got a full length role as a friend of the hero in the role of Jai. As Navdeep has a place in the action episodes as well, he has a key role in the story of ‘Eagle’.
Journalist Anupama Parameswaran’s role.. seems to have been seen in many movies but.. her role has also been given priority. Ajay Ghosh and Srinivas Reddy’s combination gave the comedy a good workout. However, the love scenes between the hero and heroine seem a bit excessive. The heroine falls in love at first sight after seeing it from the trigger of the gun.. Although it is different to continue the love while seeing it from the trigger of the gun. Kavya Thapar looked very stylish in a beautiful woven saree.
‘Eagle’ looks like a visual feast with high technical values. Shooting in foreign countries.. bomb blasts.. weapon dens.. helicopters. The director has provided a visual treat in keeping with the huge cost. As the cinematography is also Karthik Ghatta, he has brought richness to the film. Manibabu Karanam’s writing contribution is a plus for the movie. Mani.. showed pen power for dialogues related to Hero Elevations.
Over all.. ‘Eagle’ seems to be the same till the first half, but the second half is an action feast. A new Ravi Teja can be seen. Fans will like it immensely. Common audience can watch it once.
