This feature has two types of warning. Be Aware alerts and Take Action Alerts.
Be aware alert means to be aware. It is designed in such a way as to give warning of small earthquakes. When you tap on the notification you will get more information related to it. Information is sent only to users who experience MMI 3 and 4 tremors during a 4.5 or higher earthquake.
It is designed to draw the user’s attention before a take action alert i.e. a moderate to heavy vibration is felt. This will give people time to save and people to save themselves. This information is sent to users who experience MMI 5+ tremors during a 4.5 or greater earthquake. It’s also designed to break through the Do Not Disturb setting and turn on your screen to make a loud noise.
It is completely free. It detects earthquakes around the world and alerts Android users before the earth starts shaking. Here is step by step information on how to use this useful feature.
