Many buildings have collapsed there (Tibet), due to which 32 people died and 38 people are said to be injured. Earthquake tremors were felt in Patna, Muzaffarpur, Samastipur, Motihari, Begusarai, Munger, Shivhar and Saran of Bihar. The intensity of the earthquake in Nepal was measured at 7.1. The epicenter of the earthquake was in China-controlled Tibet.
32 people have died in a 6.8 magnitude earthquake in Tibet. More than 38 people are said to be injured. The death toll is likely to increase. The epicenter of the earthquake was at 28.5 degrees north latitude and 87.45 degrees east longitude at a depth of 10 kilometers.
According to the United States Geological Survey (USGS), the earthquake occurred in Shijang, Tibet. Earthquake tremors were also felt in Nepal and Bihar, Assam and Sikkim of India. At the same time, the earth shook in Malda and some other areas of Bengal. Intermittent tremors are being felt in Tibet. Actually, the plates present under the earth keep rotating, when they collide with each other, vibrations start under the earth’s surface. When these plates shift from their place, earthquake tremors are felt.
