Indore: Australia qualified for the ICC World Test Championship final with a 9-wicket win over India in the 3rd Test.
India scored 109 runs and Australia scored 197 runs in the first innings in the 3rd Test cricket match held at Holkar Stadium, Indore. Playing the 2nd innings trailing by 88 runs, the Indian team was bowled out for 163 runs in 60.3 overs under the tremendous spin of Nathan Lyon. Cheteshwar Pujara scored 59 and Shreyas Iyer scored 26 runs. Nathan Lyon took 8 wickets.
Batting with a target of 76 runs, the Australian team scored 78 runs for the loss of one wicket in 18.5 overs. Travis Head scored 49 off 53 balls with a six and 6 fours and Marnish Labuschagne added 28 off 58 balls with 6 fours. Earlier, Usman Khawaja was dismissed for no runs by Ashwin.
