Leadership among political parties on the eve of the elections to the State Duma is retained by United Russia, with 28% of those willing to vote for it. Mikhail Mamonov, head of the political analysis practice of the center, spoke about this, with reference to the VTsIOM study, on July 22 during a round table at the Expert Institute for Social Research (EISI).
According to him, sociologists conducted both a telephone and an apartment survey. The aim of the study was to investigate the robustness of the data.
“The data of both the telephone and the apartment survey turned out to be close. United Russia maintains its leadership position. She is gaining 28% of all respondents, of all participants in the study, “- said the specialist. The second and third places were taken by the Communist Party of the Russian Federation and the Liberal Democratic Party. Rounding out the four “Fair Russia”.
As Mamonov added, there are also parties whose indicators, if not close to 5%, are significant. These are the Russian party “Pensioners for Social Justice” and the party “Yabloko”.
However, if we look at the poll data in the context of the groups of electoral participation, the situation is different. “If we take by the group of those who said that they are ready to take part in the elections to varying degrees, then the rate of United Russia improves to 39% in the apartment survey and up to 31% in the telephone survey,” Mamonov said.
In the group of respondents who said that they would definitely vote, the EP indicator in the apartment survey was 40%, and in the telephone survey – 30%.
On July 21, it was reported that the development of rural areas should be reflected in the people’s program of the United Russia party. The initiatives proposed during the strategic session will be implemented within the framework of the United Russia people’s program, which is currently being formed.
