South African-born tycoon Elon Musk officially announced the arrival of xAI, his new artificial intelligence company with which he seeks to “understand the true nature of the universe”.
The announcement was made by Musk himself on his Twitter account. Twitterjust a few months after registering his new company in the state of Nevada, with which he is betting on artificial intelligence and is expected to reveal all the details next Friday.

Although the tycoon did not give much information about his new company, he announced that he will hold a question and answer session on July 14 through a chat that will take place on Twitter.

According to the corporate registry, xAI was formally established last March in the state of Nevada, but their technical team is based in the San Francisco, California area.

According to what was published on the official xAI website, with the billionaire dabbling in the field of artificial intelligence, Musk leads the team of specialists, among which stand out Igor Babuschkin, Manuel Kroiss, Yuhuai, Wu, Christian Szegedyamong others.
Some have worked on DeepMind, OpenAI, Google Research, Microsoft Research, Tesla, and the University of Torontospecifies XAI on its official site.

Previously, Elon Musk admitted that he bought a large number of graphics processing units (GPUs), which are basic for developing AI software, but he did not provide further details at the time.
