American businessman Elon Musk, who has recently been accused of anti-Semitism, on Monday, January 22, visited with his son a museum on the site of the fascist concentration camp Auschwitz (Auschwitz) in Poland. This was reported by The Associated Press.
“In the circles in which I live, I do not see anti-Semitism, I myself am actually an “inspired” Jew,” the entrepreneur said during a speech at a conference on anti-Semitism organized by the European Jewish Association in Krakow, Poland.
He admitted that until recently he was “naive” about the extent of anti-Semitism, saying it was because most of his friends are Jewish and he has had little contact with them in his life.
On November 17, it was reported that Disney, Warner Bros. Discovery and a number of other large companies refused to place their advertisements on the social network X, owned by American entrepreneur and billionaire Elon Musk. In addition to Disney, corporations such as Wish, Lionsgate, Comcast NBCUniversal, IMB, as well as Paramount and Sony Pictures refused to cooperate with the entrepreneur.
This happened after Musk’s statements in which he emphasized, according to the publication, his negative position towards Israel in the Middle East conflict.
On November 18, Musk announced that X Corp. will file a lawsuit against the non-profit organization (NPO) Media Matters for America, as well as other companies that opposed the social network X amid the businessman’s statements in which he allegedly emphasized his negative position towards Israel in the Middle East conflict.
The situation in the Middle East escalated on the morning of October 7, when the Hamas movement subjected Israeli territory to massive rocket fire from the Gaza Strip, and also invaded the border areas in the south of the country and took hostages. That same day, Israel began retaliating against targets in the Gaza Strip.
Palestinians are seeking to return the borders between the two countries to the lines that existed before the 1967 Six-Day War. Palestine wants to create its own state in the West Bank and Gaza Strip, and make East Jerusalem its capital. Israel refuses the conditions set.
