The Variety portal announced that Months before she died, Lisa Marie Presley sent two emails to Sofia Coppola to tell him that he was against the movie Priscillabecause he considered that it made Elvis Presley look like “a predator and a manipulator.”

“My father only appears as a predator and a manipulator. As his daughter, I do not see my father represented in the script (…) After reading it, I see an outrageously vindictive and contemptuous perspective, But I do not understand why”wrote Lisa Marie Presley in one of her messages to Coppola in September of last year.
Lisa Marie Presley also asked Coppola to rethink the vision he would give her father.as well as the way in which he portrayed his relationship with Priscilla Presley, author of the book ‘Elvis And Me’ on which the screenwriter’s film is based.

“I will have to say what I feel about the film and go against you and my mother publicly” The daughter of the ‘King of Rock & Roll’ threatened the director, who replied that she hoped she liked the film since her only intention was to honor her family.
As reported with Variety, Lisa Marie was not happy with the response and reproached Sofia Coppola for attacking her father and his familysince he assured that he was only worried about how Priscilla was going to feel once the film was released and the world had a different perception of Elvis.
Although the singer died in 2023 and could not formally make her claim
