Riyadh: India has clarified that Kovid does not need the attestation of the Saudi Consulate to register on the e-Services portal of the Saudi Ministry of Health. The embassy said in a statement that all Kovid certificates obtained from India have QR code registration and can be authenticated. The embassy said it had informed the Saudi Ministry of Health. Those who have been vaccinated in a foreign country are required to register with the e – Services on the Saudi Ministry of Health’s website to be updated on the Saudi Muqeem portal and the Tawakkalna application if they want to enter Saudi Arabia. But in the last few days, many people registered on the Ministry of Health’s site have received messages saying that their application for registration is being rejected because the vaccination certificate has not been attested by the Saudi Consulate. Following this, many approached the travel agencies to attest the certificate. Agencies have charged up to Rs 9,000 for this.
