Employers should be prepared to provide unpaid leave to workers who become ill. If you want to get leave, you have to provide some documents. Medical report from the treated health centers should be submitted before the employers. The head of the institution should be informed within 3 days of the onset of illness. Later the medical report should be submitted. But if the diseases are caught as part of violating the health and safety laws of the country, the benefits will not be available.

Accidents arising out of Pandemics, natural calamities, accidents due to violation of laws etc. are not eligible for benefits. Also there is no coverage in case of any accident due to consumption of intoxicants. Medical leave can be obtained only after checking all these matters. The employer can dismiss the worker if he does not return to work after the period of treatment. Other steps should be taken only after giving full rights as per labor rules.
It is possible to apply after the job training period. Leave is 90 days. Leave can be taken continuously or intermittently. Entitled to full pay for the first 15 days on leave. But for 30 days only half pain will be eligible. The remaining 45 days will be unpaid leave. This was informed by the Ministry.
