Mumbai: Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), India’s largest IT company, has again increased the salaries of its employees. The salary increase was based on the attitude of the employees towards the company during the Kovid crisis and the courage and dedication they showed to lead the company. TCS said the pay hike would take effect from April 1. TCS also thanked employees for the pay rise. TCS is the first IT company to announce increments for employees in the 2021-22 financial year. This is the second time in six months that the company has increased its salary. Kovid had earlier received a pay hike in October last year. The Mumbai-based IT company has a total of 4.7 lakh employees. The company’s decision will benefit employees across the country. Also Read: The pay hike was in line with industry standards for 2021. While the Kovid-19 uncertainty remains, the company will continue to offer promotions according to the standard promotion cycle. According to reports, the average salary of TCS employees will increase by 12 to 14 per cent in six months. The company had earlier announced that it would bear the cost of vaccinating employees in addition to the pay hike.
