Jammu. Three Army soldiers were injured on Sunday in an encounter with terrorists in a remote forest in Kishtwar district of Jammu and Kashmir. The injured soldiers have been sent to Udhampur. Officials said the encounter in the Keshawan forests began when joint search parties of the army and police intercepted the hiding terrorists around 11 am.
A police spokesperson said that an encounter has started between terrorists and security forces in Keshwan-Kishtwar. It is believed that three or four terrorists are trapped. The officer said that this is the same terrorist group which had killed two innocent villagers. Officials said heavy firing is going on between the two sides and details are awaited.
This is the third encounter between security forces and terrorists in the last 18 hours. Whereas this is the 8th encounter in 10 days of the month of November. In which a total of 8 terrorists have been killed so far. Earlier, on the evening of 9 November, a terrorist was killed by security forces in Sopore, Baramulla. On November 8 also, two terrorists were killed by the security forces. Encounter is also going on in the forests of Rampur.

Kashmir Zone Police said in a post on X that on Sunday morning the security forces had received information about 2-3 terrorists hiding in Jabarwan. After this, the army and police conducted a joint search operation in the area at around 9 am in the forest connecting the upper areas of Dachigam and Nishat. The terrorists started firing on the soldiers. After this the security forces retaliated. At present the encounter is going on.
