New Delhi: Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soran has been sent 8 summons by the Enforcement Department in the case of money laundering. However, he did not appear for the trial even once. In this case, the officials of the enforcement department are conducting an investigation at his residence today. Security has been beefed up as the Chief Minister’s party continues to gather. Due to this, there is excitement in the area where the Chief Minister’s residence is located.
Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren has been accused by the Enforcement Directorate of money laundering related to the mining scam. The Enforcement Department has already arrested Hemant Soran’s close friend Mishra and two others in the related case. In this case, this afternoon, the officials of the enforcement department started the investigation of Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soran at his residence.
It was alleged that Chief Minister Hemant Soran was involved in illegal money transfer through the land acquisition scam. That is, the enforcement department sent 8 summons to Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soran in the case of money laundering. However, he did not appear for the investigation even once. The Enforcement Department had sent a letter to Chief Minister Hemant Soren on the 13th asking him to appear for the investigation between January 16 and 20. Chief Minister Hemant Soran replied that he can record his statement at his house on 20th.
In this situation, the officials of the enforcement department have gone to his house. The Enforcement Directorate is investigating at Hemant Soran’s residence in Ranchi.
Ranchi Senior Superintendent of Police Chandan Kumar Sinha said, “More than 1,000 security personnel have been deployed. Three layers of security are ensured. To avoid any untoward incident, the Ranchi administration has ensured three-layer security arrangements around the office of the investigating agency and the Chief Minister’s residence. Traffic restrictions will be imposed near the Chief Minister’s residence until the investigation is over,” he said.
Ranchi SSP, Nagara SP, Sadar DSP are monitoring the security and law and order situation. Water cannons and fire trucks have been parked near the Chief Minister’s residence. Barricades have been placed at three places around the Chief Minister’s House and security forces have been deployed at each place to disperse the protesters.
