New Delhi: West Bengal Trinamool Congress Spokesperson Saket Gokhale. He was accused of misappropriating funds collected through public meetings. His stock trading, partying and personal expenses have all been very high.
The Gujarat police registered a case in this regard and arrested Gokhale in Delhi. 23.54 lakh cash was deposited in his bank account in one year. In this regard, the Enforcement Department conducted an inquiry against Gokhale.
He said that the money was given by Mankar Savai of Congress party for social media work and other consultancy services. Mankar Sawai is a close friend of Rahul Gandhi.
Gokhale also said that the money was given in an oral agreement. After this, Mankar Sawai was brought to Ahmedabad and interrogated for 3 days in the presence of Gokhale. Savai said that he did not pay any money in cash. The investigation yielded no clues.
The enforcement department informed the Ahmedabad court that Gokhale was spending excessively the funds collected by holding public meetings. However, Gokhale denied this allegation. It seems that the enforcement department will investigate many more in this case.
