Pensioners under the Employees Pension Scheme (EPS), 1995 are required to submit a life standard or life certificate once every year. Pensioners have to present their life certificate at pension disbursing agencies like banks and post offices wherever their pension is credited. One has to go to the pension disbursing agencies. However, EPFO has launched a mobile app. They can submit their digital life certificate through the mobile app itself. Also there is a chance to submit it at any time. EPFO said this through its Twitter account. To facilitate this process.. EPFO has launched face authentication service. Pensioners can avail these services by downloading the Aadhaar FaceRD app from the Google Play Store. Central and state government employees and pensioners belonging to other government organizations can benefit from this service.
Simple steps to be followed by pensioners to submit this digital life certificate through Face App..
- Aadhaar FaceRD app should be downloaded from Google Play Store.
- You have to download Face (Android) app from Jeevan Praman portal.
- Click on Operator Authentication.
- Tap on pensioners authentication.
- Select the given option and enter your details like Aadhaar Number, Mobile Number, PPO Number.
- Scan the face and submit.
- If approved.. your life certificate has been successfully updated. In case of rejection, the pensioners will receive an SMS.

- This is easier for pensioners who find it difficult to submit biometrics like fingerprint or iris due to old age or health reasons.
