If EPFO member wants to know UAN number online.. visit epfindia.gov.in portal.
It looks like there is a services section. It says For Employees. Click on it.
There you have to click on Member UAN/Online Service (OCS/OTCP).
In the next stage you will be redirected to unifiedportal-mem.epfindia.gov.in portal. There in the important links section is Know Your UAN. Click on it.
Now enter your mobile number and captcha code. Then click on Request OTP.
This will give you a one time password for the phone number linked to your UAN.
After entering that OTP.. you will get your UAN number back through SMS.

How to learn offline..

UAN number can also be found offline. You can also know the PF balance by sending an SMS to 7738299899 from the registered mobile number. UAN will be known. Bengali, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Hindi. These services are available in Punjabi, Gujarati, Marathi, Kannada, English. Type EPFOHO UAN and SMS to 7738299899. By doing this SMS, you will get a message from EPFO with details like PF balance, UAN number along with your last EPFO contribution. But to get these details in other regional languages, the first three letters of that language should also be typed. Eg.. To know in telugu you have to type EPFOHO UAN TEL ..

Finally, EPFO has also introduced missed call facility. EPF member can also get the details by giving a missed call to 9966044425 from his registered mobile number.
